Wizards vs. Raptors

Spread: Raptors -5

Date: Nov. 4, 6:00 PM ET

ACC Centre – Toronto, Ontario

Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Raptors opened as 5–point favourites on the Sports Interaction NBA odds board with the over/under line set at 217.

Toronto completed its six-game road trip by handing the Jazz their first home loss of the season and walked away with a 109-100 win from Salt Lake City. The result improved the Raps’ season record to 5-3 straight up and 6-2 against the spread. The over is 4-4 in their first eight games this year.

The Wizards were walloped at Washington by LeBron James and the Cavs on Friday night. The setback dropped Washington to 4-4 SU and 3-5 ATS on the campaign.

The Raps have won and covered in four of their last five matchups against Washington. The under is 5-2 in the last seven meetings between these two teams.

Wizards

Friday night’s loss against the Cavaliers was demoralizing for the Wiz in many ways.

First, All-Star point guard John Wall suffered a sprained shoulder during the third quarter of Friday’s game when he crashed into Cleveland big man Channing Frye. Wall stayed in the game and logged a team-high 38:28 minutes of action, but left the arena after the game with his left arm in a sling. He’s listed as questionable to play in Sunday’s game against Toronto.

To add insult to injury, Wall spoke with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols before Friday’s game and said he believes the Cavaliers intentionally dropped games during the end of last year’s regular season to avoid matching up with the Wizards in second round of the playoffs. LeBron James made Wall eat those words by dropping 57 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists against the Wiz.

Raptors

DeMar DeRozan was the star of the game in the Raptors’ victory in Salt Lake City. The All-Star shooting guard scored 37 points and canned all 14 of his attempted from the charity stripe.

The Raps shot 53.5 percent from the field on the road against one of the best defensive teams in the league. Not too shabby.
