It’s the best in the West versus the…not so best, as the 3-0 Golden Warriors head to Oklahoma City to take on the 0-3 Thunder.  Fresh off a 115-103 home loss against the 76ers on Sunday, OKC has looked terrible this year and lost all three of their games by double-digit margins.  Golden State comes in trending in the opposite direction with three straight wins, including a 119-107 road dub in Sacramento on Sunday.

The Warriors are 9-point favourites to win on the NBA odds, with a total of 223.0.

Warriors vs. Thunder NBA Betting Odds

OKC is getting virtually no love from bettors, with 91 per cent of action taking G-State and 61 per cent taking the Over.  The Warriors took all three meetings in the season series last year, blowing out the Thunder by over 20 points in each game.  Two of the three contests went above the number.

Golden State has dominated the Thunder for years, winning 14 of the last 20 overall meetings.  The Warriors are 2-1 against the spread for the season and have covered in five straight games against OKC.  The total has gone Under in two of three games for Golden State this season and five of their last six on the road dating back to last year.

The stats are pretty ugly dating back to last season, as Oklahoma City has lost 12 of their last 13 games overall and 16 of their last 17 against Western Conference opponents.  They haven’t covered at all this year and are 1-8 ATS in their last nine games overall.  The total has gone Under in two of three OKC games this season.

Golden State Warriors

After a down year last season, the Warriors are once again looking like the dynasty that went to five straight NBA Finals (winning three) between 2015 and 2019.  It was a tight game against Sacramento on Sunday, before Golden State pulled away in the fourth quarter.  Steph Curry led the way with a game-high 27 points, also adding seven rebounds and 10 assists.  The Warriors are averaging 118.3 points per game, sixth in the NBA.  They’re also 11th in rebounding with 48.7 boards a night and fourth in assists with 27.7 dimes.  Curry is averaging team-high’s in points (31), rebounds (9) and assists (7) per game.  Canadian Andrew Wiggins has been a nice secondary scoring option, sitting third on the team with 15.3 points per game.

Oklahoma City Thunder

OKC struggled early against the 76ers on Sunday and they were never really able to recover.  They were outscored 18-9 over the final five minutes of the opening quarter and trailed by 10 after one.  The Thunder never came within three the rest of the game.  Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a game-high 29 points and eight assists.  Gilgeous-Alexander (20 ppg) is one of only two OKC players to average double-digit points through three games, along with Mike Muscala (11 ppg).  The Thunder sit in the bottom half of the NBA in most major statistical categories.  They’re 29th in points per game (93.3), 24th in rebounds (43.7), 27th in field goal percentage (40.6) and 29th in 3-point percentage (26.6).
