Warriors vs. Pacers Prediction: NBA Odds, Point Spread
The Golden State Warriors will finish their four-game road trip when they head to Indiana to face the Pacers on Wednesday. The Warriors won’t get much rest after their 114-106 win over the Knicks on Tuesday. The Pacers, however, have had a full week off since a 134-128 OT win in Minnesota last Wednesday.
The Pacers are slim 2-point favourites to win on the NBA odds with a total of 229.
NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Golden State has struggled to cover the spread in Indiana. The Warriors have covered in just five of their last 18 games in the Hoosier State. Golden State is 16-16 against the spread overall this season. The total has gone Under in six of the Warriors’ last nine games and 18 of 32 games overall.
Ironically, the Pacers have also struggled to cover in Indiana, lately. Indiana is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games and 14-15 ATS overall. The Pacers have hit the Over in 17 of 29 games this season.
Golden State Warriors
After sitting out with an illness against Charlotte on Saturday, Steph Curry returned with a vengeance in Golden State’s win over the Knicks on Tuesday. Curry put up a game-high 37 points to go along with six rebounds and six assists. Curry has been on an absolute tear this season. He averages the second-most points in the NBA (30.2) on 48.4 per cent shooting and he has also averaged 5.4 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game. Curry had an off-game, finishing with 20 points on 7-of-17 shooting against the Pacers earlier this season, so you can bet he’ll be at top form on Wednesday.
Helping Curry on Wednesday, will be centre’s James Wiseman and Kevon Looney. Both players returned from injury on Tuesday and they provide Golden State with a bigger and stronger lineup. Kelly Oubre Jr. will also play a big part on Wednesday. Oubre Jr. put up 19 points and eight rebounds against the Knicks. After a tough start to the season, Oubre Jr. is averaging 20.3 points on 48.1 per cent shooting and 6.7 rebounds in February.
Indiana Pacers
Despite dropping four straight games to start the month, the Pacers are still in a solid position in the Eastern Conference. Indiana has had a lot of rest since their overtime win against the Timberwolves last week. Domantas Sabonis and Malcolm Brogdon both had big games against Minnesota. Sabonis put up a triple-double, finishing with 36 points (game high), 16 rebounds and 10 assists. Brogdon had 32 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
Brogdon flies a little under the radar in Indiana, but he has been putting up career numbers this season. The 2017 Rookie of the Year leads the Pacers with a career-high 21.6 points per game and 6.6 assists. He is not only the main playmaker on the roster, but a capable defender who is averaging 1.3 steals per game.
