The long trek continues for the Raptors with a stop in Denver to play the Nuggets in one of the toughest arenas for visiting teams.

The Nuggets opened as 1-point favourites on the NBA odds board with the total set at 213.5.

Denver is one of the biggest early season disappointments as its ATS record shows. The Nuggets have covered in just two of their seven games and are coming off a straight up loss against the New York Knicks as 4.5-point road favorites.

Toronto locked down the Trail Blazers in Portland on Monday night then hopped on a bird bound for the Mile High City. The Raptors win over the Blazers improved their season record to 4-2 straight up and 5-1 against the spread.

The under is a combined 9-4 in games involving either team this year, but the over is 8-1-1 in the last 10 matchups between the Nuggets and Raptors. Denver also covered the spread in its last four games against Toronto.

Raptors

The Dinos made the Blazers’ offense look prehistoric on Monday night. Portland shot just 38.8 percent from the field and scored just one – as in the number that comes after zero and before two – field goal and six total points in the second quarter.

Starting center Jonas Valanciunas missed his fourth consecutive game because of a nagging injury and it’s uncertain if he’ll suit up on Wednesday. Starting power forward Serge Ibaka joined Valanciunas on the injury report. He missed Monday’s game too because of swelling in his right knee and is questionable to play against the Nuggets.

Nuggets

Denver’s offense was supposed to rival Golden State for the most efficient in the league but that’s not what bettors have seen so far. Free agent forward Paul Millsap has been slow to mesh with pivot Nikola Jokic and starting guard Jamal Murray is having a hard time learning how to play point guard on the fly.
