Toronto Raptors vs. Atlanta Hawks

Date: Nov. 25, 7:30 PM ET

Philips Arena – Atlanta, Georgia

NBA odds: Raptors -7

Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Raptors opened as 7-point favourites on the NBA odds board with the total set at 210.5

Toronto lost outright as a 2.5-point road favourite last night against the Indiana Pacers. This will be the Raptors’ second game in as many nights for just the second time this season. They won and covered as 3-point underdogs at New Orleans on the second night of a back-to-back set earlier this month.

Saturday’s game will be the Raptors’ 12 road game of the season – which will tie them for a league high at this point of the campaign. Toronto is 5-6 straight up and 6-5 against the spread away from home this year. The under is now 4-0 in the Raptors’ last four games and 10-8 on the season.

Atlanta’s 116-104 win over the New York Knicks on Friday was the club’s first victory in its last four contests. The Hawks are 4-15 SU, 8-10-1 ATS and the over is 11-7-1 in their 19 games this season.

Raptors

Toronto was outscored 57-44 in the second half on its way to a three-point loss to the Pacers. DeMar DeRozan was held under 20 points scoring for just the fourth time this season and Toronto players not named Kyle Lowry shot a combined 19 percent on 21 attempts from 3-point land.

Raptors beat reporter Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun is making a strong argument that Serge Ibaka is not working playing as the team’s starting power forward. Ibaka is best suited playing the center position but that would mean a serious cut in either his or Jonas Valanciunas’ minutes.

Before last night’s game the Raptors were +30 in the 100 minutes when Ibaka plays the pivot and -12 in 307 minutes when he plays at power forward.

Hawks

Lowry will have his hands full guarding Atlanta point guard Dennis Schroder. The speedy German leads the Hawks in scoring (20.1 points per game) and assists (7.1) and is coming off a 26-point, eight-assist performance Friday night against the Knicks.
