The most points the Toronto Raptors scored in a game last season was 139 in a February victory over Houston.  Gary Trent Jr. had a game-high 42 points, while Pascal Siakam added 30.  In total, five Toronto players scored in double-digits.  The feat was more impressive given the fact Fred VanVleet was not in the lineup.

The Raptors have scored over 139 points in a regular season game three times in franchise history, all in the last few years during the VanVleet-Siakam era.  The team record is 144 points set in January 2021 against Sacramento.  They also scored 140 points against Washington twice, first in January 2019 and again in January 2020.

Win Streak Record

Raptors Break All Time Win Streak?

Pointspread
  • Raptors break all time win streak +1000

The longest win streak in Raptors franchise history is 15, set from Jan. 15 2020 to Feb. 12, 2020.  The streak is also a Canadian professional sports record.  It’s not as implausible as it may seem for that record to be broken as multiple key members from that 2019-20 team are still with the franchise, including VanVleet, Siakam, OG Anunoby and Chris Boucher.  Adding last season’s Rookie of the Year, Scottie Barnes, to the mix only makes this roster more dangerous.

After a couple of seasons that were severely hampered by COVID, expectations are higher for the Raptors this year and three-point shooting will be key if this team can legitimately compete in the Eastern Conference.  The Raptors averaged 34.2 three-point attempts per game last season (T-19th) and made 11.9 (T-19th).

There has been a lot made of an admittedly pretty ugly stat for Toronto in the pre-season as they’ve had the second-worst three-point shooting percentage in the NBA.  Keep in mind, however, Otto Porter Jr. hasn’t played in the pre-season and he’s one of the best shooters on the team.  And none of the players that have been eating up minutes late in games are shooters.
