It’s a quick turnaround for the Bulls, who are fresh off a 119-99 blowout loss in Dallas on Wednesday. Minnesota will be the more rested team after they beat Charlotte 114-93 on Monday.

The T-Wolves are heavy 8.5-point favourites to win on the NBA odds, with the total set at 227.5.

Timberwolves vs. Bulls NBA Betting Odds

Chicago swept the two-game season series last year, but both contests were tight. The first game ended 129-123 in overtime and the second was 109-101. Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards scored team-highs of 38 points and 22 points, while Chicago’s leading scorer in both games, DeMar DeRozan, is now in Sacramento.

It’s been more profitable to fade both these teams this season as the Timberwolves are just 2-5 against the spread, while the Bulls are 3-5 ATS. Overall, Chicago has failed to cover the spread in nine of their last 11 games against Western Conference teams, although they are 5-1 ATS in their last six against Minnesota.

Bank on a lot of points on Thursday. Both teams have hit the Over in a majority of their games this season and the Over has also hit in seven of the last eight head-to-heads.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Naz Reid led the way for the T-Wolves against Charlotte on Monday, finishing with a game-high 25 points and nine rebounds. Reid went 5-for-7 from the three-point line and he combined with Mike Conley and Donte DiVincenzo to make 15 three-pointers on the night. Anthony Edwards added 21 points while Rudy Gobert had eight points and eight boards.

Minnesota made a big splash in the off-season with the surprise blockbuster trade of Karl-Anthony Towns to the Knicks. The move. brought back Julius Randle and DiVincenzo in an effort to create more depth and give more space for Edwards to dominate. The move seems to have worked as Edwards is averaging a career-high 27.3 points per game, while Randle leads the team in assists per game (4.7) and he is second in points (21.4).

Chicago Bulls

The Bulls are coming off their worst loss of the season in a 20-point blowout on Wednesday. Nikola Vucevic led the team with just 14 points, although he did add a game-high 10 rebounds. Chicago was on pace for their most three-point attempts this season at halftime with 27, but they were only shooting 18.5 per cent. The Bulls finished 12-of-42 for 28.6 per cent from beyond the arc. Zach LaVine missed his second straight game with a right adductor strain and he is listed as questionable on Thursday.

Chicago is in a bit of a weird spot where they aren’t good enough to contend, but they’re not bad enough to tank for a lottery pick. Lonzo Ball is back after missing two full seasons with a knee injury, but he wont’t be an every day player. The Bulls let DeRozan walk in a sign-and-trade and they didn’t really do anything to replace his offence. Chicago looks destined to miss the playoffs for a third straight season.
