The Winnipeg Blue Bombers begin another run at the Grey Cup tonight when they host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as 5-point favourites at home. To say that last season didn’t end the way Winnipeg hoped would be a major understatement. Toronto Argos defensive lineman Robbie Smith blocked a Winnipeg field goal attempt in the final seconds of last year’s Grey Cup to secure a 24-23 win over the Blue Bombers.
Now, Winnipeg is favoured to reclaim the CFL championship again at +190 and this team will be out to make a statement tonight. The Bombers kept the band together in the off-season with Zach Collaros, Dalton Schoen, Brady Oliveira all returning.

When Amanda Nunes is at the top of her game, she’s levels above the rest of the competition. She’s saying all the right things ahead of Saturday night’s main event against Irene Aldana – basically that Aldana is a better fighter than Julianna Pena, who had to pull out of this fight due to injury. But who’s kidding who here? Nunes should take care of business.
“Honestly, I will stop her. No doubt in my mind,” Nunes said at the UFC 289 pre-fight press conference on Thursday. “This belt is Brazilian. This belt is mine. I’m completely ready for this fight.”
