The Knicks saw an impressive 9-0 run halted by Friday’s 117-107 loss in Oklahoma City, which also put the brakes on an eight-game win streak on the road. The Bulls return home after dropping a 125-107 decision in Washington on New Year’s Day and have work to do to turn things around at home, where they have posted wins in just three of nine contests.

The Knicks arrive in the Windy City perched as 5.5-point favourites on the Saturday NBA odds. The Bulls trail as +170 home underdogs on the NBA moneyline and the total is listed at 233.5.

Knicks vs. Bulls NBA Betting Odds

Saturday night’s matchup at United Center marks the second of three regular season meetings between these NBA Eastern Conference rivals. The Bulls eked out a narrow 124-123 win when they visited Madison Square Garden on November 13. However, the Knicks have otherwise dominated in head-to-head action, winning six of their past nine meetings including three of their past four trips to Chicago.

The Knicks have also enjoyed some success when playing on consecutive nights, winning six of nine, but have covered the spread just three times over that stretch. The Bulls season-long struggle to produce consistent results continues. The club has won just two of six overall and are just 2-7 in their past nine home dates immediately following a road game.

Chicago’s inconsistency has also proved costly for loyal sports bettors, who have seen the Bulls go just 4-7 against the spreads over their past 11 games overall and 7-9 ATS at home this season.

New York Knicks

Karl-Anthony Towns played a leading role in the Knicks’ success during their recent 9-0 run, averaging 25.1 points per game and scoring 30 or more five times. While Towns piled up 46 points when the Bulls visited New York in November, he mustered just 17 points in Friday’s loss to the Thunder. However, the big man remained a monster in the paint, pulling down a season-high 22 rebounds to record a fourth straight double-double. Mikal bridges led all Knicks shooters with 24 points and has averaged 23.8 points per game during a six-game stretch that started with a season-high 41-point performance versus San Antonio on Christmas Day.

Chicago Bulls

While the Bulls enter the weekend ranked seventh in the NBA with 117.2 points per game, scoring has come at a premium of late with Chicago shooters averaging just 110 points over the past six contests. That trend continued Wednesday, with the Bulls falling behind early and never recovering in a 125-107 loss to the Wizards. Zach LaVine emerged as the only Bulls scorer to top 17 points, dropping 32 points. However, the team’s leading scorer has struggled to maintain that momentum, scoring 15 or fewer points in five of his past 10 outings. Things have not gone much better for Nikola Vucevic, whose 12 points on Wednesday marked his second-worst outing of the season.
