The C’s hope to have Kemba Walker back in the lineup for Wednesday’s contest, but Jayson Tatum’s hot forum could be enough to keep the Jazz out of tune.

NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Celtics land in Utah after a 118-106 win and cover as 7.5-point road favourites against a Portland Trail Blazer side still missing Damian Lillard. Boston improved to 4-0 against the spread over its last four games and 35-20-2 ATS on the campaign. Only the Oklahoma City Thunder own a better ATS mark this season.

The Over is 4-0 in the Celtics’ last four games as the club is playing with the sixth quickest pace in the league over the same four-game sample. Since their last game before the All-Star break when they exploded for 141 points in an overtime home win over the Los Angeles Clippers, the C’s are averaging 124.5 points per game.

The Jazz are looking to snap a three-game losing streak when they tip off against Boston. All three losses have come at home for Utah and the club has dropped to 1-6-1 against the number in its last eight home contests.

Utah went for a sleeper contender for the second seed in the Western Conference to a side now just 1.5 games ahead of Dallas for seventh place. The Jazz are 4-8 SU and 3-9 ATS over their last 12 games.

This is the first meeting between these two sides this season, but the Jazz went 2-0 SU and ATS against the C’s during the 2018-19 campaign.

Boston Celtics

The Celtics – for most of the season – could have a different hero on a night-to-night basis. Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward, Kemba Walker or Jayson Tatum were all capable of being the star performer on a given night.

That time could be over now. There is a pecking order in Boston and Tatum is at the front of the line. The third year wing is averaging 30.3 points in the month of February and he’s led the C’s in scoring in six of the last nine games.

Utah Jazz

Rudy Gobert earned his first ever All-Star selection this season, but his level of positive influence with the Jazz has slipped significantly during the cold streak. The Jazz are allowing more points per 115.3 points per 100 possessions over the last 12 games with Gobert on the court. That Jazz own -5.3 net rating with the big man on the floor during the same stretch of games. That’s a damning figure for the two-time defending NBA Defensive Player of the Year winner.
