Centre Joel Embiid (knee) remains out for Philadelphia and the team also announced Paul George will miss the Lakers game with a finger injury. The key absence is Embiid though, as Anthony Davis has looked unstoppable during L.A.’s four-game win streak. Davis has led the Lakers in scoring in each of their four consecutive victories and is coming off a 42-point, 23-rebound outing last night in Charlotte.

This makes Tuesday the back half of a back-to-back for L.A., and the start of one for Philadelphia. The 76ers remain beaten up and will be missing key guys like Embiid and George. As of Monday evening, there’s no word on whether the Lakers will be resting any starters.

Tip-off at Wells Fargo Center goes at 7:30 p.m. EST with the Lakers a -175 moneyline favourite on the road and -3.5 on the point spread, while the over-under is at 218.5 on the NBA odds.

Lakers vs. 76ers NBA Betting Odds

Philadelphia has won two straight games for the first time since December 30. These pair of wins have been in complete opposite manners too; on Friday the 76ers edged out Cleveland in a 132-129 shootout, and then kept Chicago under 100 points in a 109-97 victory on Saturday. Prior to these wins (both of which Philadelphia covered in), the 76ers had failed to cover in eight straight games. Philadelphia is now 5-15 ATS at home this season.

Over this four-game win streak, the Lakers are also 4-0 against the spread. The under has hit in three of these wins, two of which L.A. has held their opponents under 100 points. Philadelphia has the sixth-lowest scoring offence in the NBA with 108.1 points per contest.

Los Angeles Lakers

Half of Anthony Davis’ game-high 42 points, and 11 of his 23 rebounds last night came in the opening quarter. The 31-year-old big man still logged 37 minutes on the court last night as Charlotte tried to claw their way back. Davis’ defence performance sealed the win though, as the Lakers outrebounded Charlotte 48-34 in the 112-107 victory.

L.A. was extremely cold from the three-point line yesterday, draining six of 28 attempts. LeBron connected on only one of eight attempts from deep, and the Lakers bench didn’t make a three. With Tuesday being a back-to-back, expect the bench to play more of a role against Philadelphia. Rookie guard Dalton Knecht had put forth consecutive double-digit scoring games but finished with just two points yesterday. Regardless, he’s a candidate for more offence.

Philadelphia 76ers

A two-game win streak is as positive as it gets for Philadelphia this season, but even then a Paul George injury came out of it. George exited Saturday’s 109-97 victory against Chicago and will not play Tuesday against the Lakers. K.J. Martin (foot) and Caleb Martin (hip) will also remain out of the lineup on Tuesday. Veteran guard Kyle Lowry returned for the 76ers on Saturday.

With no George, Ricky Council IV and Justin Edwards should see more minutes. Council IV was in the starting lineup the last time George was absent, but the former’s 6.3 points per game in 2024–25 acts as a big downgrade from George. With Joel Embiid out another two games, Guerschon Yabusele and Adem Bona will get extra minutes. Yabusele started Saturday, registering six points and six rebounds in 29 minutes.

Tyrese Maxey has now scored a minimum of 28 points in 10 straight contests.
