Racing Analysis

The Dixie Vodka 400 is 400.5 miles, 267 laps, NASCAR Cup Series points race held at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida. NASCAR will continue its long history of honouring military members by welcoming them as their first guests in this race. 1000 service members will be in attendance for this race.

This will be four races in two days in Miami this weekend. On Saturday the Hooters 250, and Baptist Health 200 will take place, while the Contender Boats 250 starts prior to the late afternoon commencement of the Dixie Vodka 400.

Many big names in the world of NASCAR have taken the checkered flag at Homestead throughout the years. Denny Hamlin (2009, 2013), Kevin Harvick (2014), Martin Truex Jr. (2017) who also won last week at Martinsville have tasted victory at this Florida track.

Prediction

Kyle Busch hasn’t had a great year with 0 wins on the season. However, he does have six top five finishes and six top ten finishes in 2020. Busch is ranked ninth in NASCAR points with 326, but a distance 126 points of the leader Kevin Harvick.

Busch is the defending champion at this track and a two-time winner at Homestead. In both victories, although later in the year (2015 & 2019) he clinched the series championship.
