UFC Mexico fight prediction: Imanol Rodriguez vs. Kevin Borjas

This event is scheduled for Saturday, February 28th and will take place at the Arena CDMX in Mexico. UFC fans will be treated to 13 fights across the preliminary and main cards, one of which will be a Flyweight division fight between Imanol Rodriguez and Kevin Borjas.

Both Rodriguez and Borjas are unranked in the Flyweight division, meaning that the winner will likely break into the Flyweight rankings.

Imanol Rodriguez vs Kevin Borjas UFC Fight Night 268

When looking at the current MMA odds for this main-card fight between Rodriguez and Borjas, it is immediately apparent that Rodriguez is the betting favourite. As it stands, Rodriguez is listed at -450, while Borjas is a massive +330 underdog.

Other popular betting markets suggest this fight will end inside the distance (-235), as opposed to going the distance (+180). Additionally, if you are looking to bet on an exact method of victory, you can get Rodriguez to win by any finish at -150, while Borjas to win by any finish is listed at +600.

Imanol Rodriguez UFC stats

Rodriguez makes his professional UFC debut in this one. He has an MMA record of 6-0. He also beat Roque Conceicao by first round KO/TKO back in DWCS in October 2025.

Rodriguez made it to the semifinals of the most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter and is known as a dangerous striker – all of his MMA wins have come by finish.

Kevin Borjas UFC stats

Borjas enters this fight with an MMA record of 10-4 and 2-3 in the UFC. His most recent UFC fight was back in August 2025, one that resulted in a loss by unanimous decision against Sumudaerji.

Considering Borjas has more UFC experience than Rodriguez, we know his tendencies and that he is somewhat of a one-dimensional fighter. Borjas averages 4.19 significant strikes per minute with a striking accuracy of 44%, while having yet to show any grappling ability. Despite having no grappling ability, Borjas has been able to defend takedowns 71% of the time in his UFC career.

UFC Mexico: Who Will Win Rodriguez vs. Borjas?

With Rodriguez listed as a big favourite in this fight, I would rather look at the method by which he could win as opposed to investing in the money line. As mentioned, Rodriguez has won all six of his MMA fights by finish. The majority of these wins have come by KO/TKO (five), with one win coming by submission. Further, all six of these wins have come before the third round.

Rodriguez may have only fought in the UFC once, but he has a huge advantage in terms of striking volume compared to Borjas. For that reason, I’m backing Rodriguez to win by any finish at -150.
