UFC Fight Night 246 Odds, Prediction: Marc-Andre Barriault vs. Dustin Stoltzfus
Marc-Andre Barriault and Dustin Stoltzfus are both looking to get back in the win column after they each lost fights in June.
Barriault is a -200 favourite to win on the MMA odds, while Stoltzfus is a +165 underdog.
Marc-Andre Barriault UFC Fight Night Odds

Barriault is a former TKO Major League MMA champion in the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions. Born in Gatineau, Quebec, Barriault had a rocky start to this UFC career with three straight losses followed by a ‘no contest’. He’s 5-7 (plus the no contest) in the octagon and he’s struggled with a split decision loss and a first-round TKO loss in his last two fights.
“Power Bar” will have a one-inch disadvantage in both reach and leg reach, but he’s a much better striker than his opponent. Barriault lands 6.12 significant strikes per minute with 47 per cent accuracy, while Stoltzfus lands 3.51 signifcant strikes with 43 per cent accuray. The edge goes to Barriault if this becomes a boxing match.
Dustin Stoltzfus UFC Fight Night Odds
Stoltzfus is American-born, but he grew up in a Pennsylvania Dutch community and he now fights out of Germany. After winning Dana White’s Contender Series 26, Stoltzfus began his UFC career with three straight losses and he’s gone just 2-5 in the octagon overall. He’s looking to rebound from a first-round KO that Brunno Ferreira landed with a spectacular spinning elbow last June.
Say what you will about Stoltzfus’ record, but his fights are anything but boring. He’s entertaining even at the risk of losing, which is why he hasn’t been cut by the UFC. However, even as entertaining as Stoltzfus is, he knows he needs to start winning if he wants to stay with the promotion. I expect him to come out fast and hard as he looks to keep his UFC career alive.
UFC Fight Night 246 Prediction: Barriault vs. Stoltzfus
Let’s face it, neither of these fighters are ever going to challenge for UFC gold, but they can still provide some fun entertainment. They’re both aggressively risky fighters, so I’ll be surprised if this fight goes the distance. Give me the Canadian fighting on home soil (Barriault KO/TKO +200).
