Kyler Phillips vs. Charles Jourdain: UFC Fight Night Winnipeg Odds, Prediction

For just the third time in organization history and first since 2017, the UFC makes a visit to Winnipeg with a Fight Night card Saturday chock-full of Canadian fighters. And one of them is Charles Jourdain as he takes on American Kyler Phillps in the co-main event at bantamweight.

Jourdain is the -150 favourite on the MMA odds Phillips at +130 and an over-under of 2.5 rounds for the scheduled three-rounder.

UFC Fight Night Winnipeg: Kyler Phillips

The current UFC bantamweight champion is Petr Yan, and the 30-year-old Kyler Phillips, now fighting of Phoenix, is unranked in the division with a professional MMA mark of 12-4. Few fights considering he started his career in 2016. Phillips is a former California state judo champion.

“Matrix” has followed three straight wins with back-to-back losses (first consecutive losses career), both by unanimous decision, to Rob Font and Vinicius Oliveira but hasn’t been in the Octagon since July 2025. Each of Phillips’ past four fights and six of the past seven have gone the distance. His best career wins are likely over Song Yadong, Raoni Barcelos and Pedro Munhoz. This will be Phillips’ third career UFC co-main event, and he’s 0-2 in the previous two.

Phillips is one of 12 fighters in UFC history to earn a triangle/armbar submission victory, accomplishing that against Marcelo Rojo at UFC 271. Why the nickname? Phillips said his dad gave it to him in middle school because “my martial arts were becoming multi-dimensional.”

The 5-foot-8 Phillips has a reach of 72 inches and his bouts average 12:20. He lands 5.04 significant strikes per minute with 42 per cent accuracy and absorbs 3.83 with 60 per cent defence. His takedown average is 2.31 per 15 minutes with 45 per cent accuracy, and his takedown defence is 47 per cent. His favoured method of victory is decision at +250.

The overall method of victory via either fighter is also decision at -150.

UFC Fight Night Winnipeg: Charles Jourdain

The 33-year-old Charles Jourdain is from Beloeil, Quebec, and still fights out of there as part of Brazilian Top Team Canada. With a professional mark of 17-8 and one draw, he also is unranked in the UFC bantamweight division. But Jourdain is a former TKO Major League MMA featherweight and interim lightweight champion.

“Air” has followed two straight losses with back-to-back wins by submission (guillotine arm choke) against Victory Henry in Round 2 in November 2024 and over Davey Grant in Round 1 last October. Those two wins came after he dropped down to bantamweight, and Jourdain earned Performance of the Night bonuses in each (and has in his past three wins overall).

Jourdain has an 88 per cent finish rate overall with only two of his 17 career wins (eight by TKO, seven by submission) via the judges and not since UFC 288 vs. Keon Gracie. His favoured method Saturday is by decision at +175. That the bout goes the distance is -155 with no at +120.

The 5-foot-9 Jourdain has a reach of 69 inches and his bouts average 11:18. He lands 5.48 significant strikes per minute with 49 per cent accuracy and absorbs 4.25 with 56 per cent defence. His takedown average is 0.33 per 15 minutes with 21 per cent defence, and his takedown defence is 47 per cent.

Jourdain’s younger brother Louis is also on the UFC roster, and they are the first Canadian brothers to ever fight in the UFC.

UFC Fight Night Winnipeg: Phillips vs. Jourdain Prediction

Certainly could go either way so will simply take going the distance at -155.
