Toronto Blue Jays vs. Texas Rangers Odds – MLB Playoff Picks
After 22 long years, the Toronto Blue Jays are back in the MLB playoffs in search of their third World Series title.
Toronto Blue Jays vs. Texas Rangers
Game 1 Odds: Blue Jays -275 favourites
UPDATE: Jays odds move to -230
Starting pitchers: Jays – David Price, Rangers – Yovani Gallardo
The Blue Jays went after David Price for this reason – to come out and lock down Game 1 no matter who he’s up against. Price has been sensational since joining the club and there’s no reason to doubt him now. It’s a hefty price and Gallardo is a stud too, but the Jays feed off their wild crowd at the Rogers Centre and it’s hard to see them dropping their first playoff game in 22 years Thursday.
MLB Playoffs Picks: Toronto Blue Jays 5, Texas Rangers 1.
Final Score: Texas Rangers 5, Toronto Blue Jays 3
Game 2 Odds: Blue Jays -210 favourites
Starting pitchers: Jays – Marcus Stroman, Rangers – Cole Hamels
The Jays couldn’t lose both games on home soil – could they? It isn’t going to be easy against Cole Hamels. Texas’ lefty hasn’t lost a decision since Aug. 7 and the Jays currently have sluggers Josh Donaldson (head) and Jose Bautista (hamstring) listed as questionable. They’ll likely play, but it’s hard to know if they’re anywhere near 100 percent.
MLB Playoffs Picks: Toronto Blue Jays 5, Texas Rangers 4.
