The Reds needed a two-run shot from Jake Fraeley in the eighth inning to stretch their streak to 11 wins on Wednesday, dropping Colorado 5-3.

After a travel day, the Reds opened at +135 for tonight’s game with Luke Weaver taking the hill against AJ Smith-Shawver.  Weaver was belted for 10 hits and five earned runs over five innings in his last outing so the Reds might need to put some crooked numbers on the board, but it’s hard to pass up on an MLB underdog riding this kind of momentum.

Without Mitchell out, veteran Matthew Schiltz will take the snaps and he’ll have to deal with injuries on the offensive line as well. Look for Montreal to pound the rock with running back William Stanback against a questionable Hamilton run defence.

UFC Odds: Amanda Ribas vs. Maycee Barber (Saturday)

Interesting co-main event here for Saturday’s UFC event. The veteran Ribas is a -225 favourite even though she’s alternated wins and losses in her last four, while the 25-year-old Barber is a +165 underdog on a four-fight winning streak. With Barber’s power, she can dictate this fight, or end it early as long as she can stay off the mat. There’s no doubt that Ribas knows her way around the Octagon with wins over the likes of Mackenzie Dern and Paige VanZant, but let’s take a shot with another underdog here in what would be a big stepping-stone win for Barber.
