Washington Nationals (61-71) vs. Toronto Blue Jays (72-60)

The Jays need step on the gas if they want to get back into wild card contention. Their series opener against the Washington Nationals last night resulted in a much-needed win, but can they do it again tonight?

  • Toronto: J Berrios -196
  • Washington: M Gore +160

Best Bet: Toronto -218

It’ll be MacKenzie Gore getting the start for Washington – his lacklustre 4.38 ERA isn’t the only thing Jays fans should be amped about – Toronto has been excellent of late in taking down left-handed pitchers, ranking third in the league in OPS against lefties –  and Gore is a southpaw.

Toronto will rely on Jose Berrios, which is more good news for team, as he has been very good at home this season, boasting a 3.09 on his own turf.

Toronto has managed to hit the Over in their last three and they have a .780 team OPS in their last eight.

Chicago Sky vs. Los Angeles Sparks

The Chicago Sky are faltering lately, having lost 6 of their last 8 games which puts them just 1.5 games out of a playoff spot. A playoff spot that the Los Angeles Sparks are currently holding onto. The Sparks are faring much better as of late, and they’ll be looking for a win tonight while coming into the game having won 6 of their last 7 matchups.

The Sparks are 5-0 against the spread in their last five at home and are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall.
