How Pitcher Jordan Hicks Fits into Blue Jays Rotation

Jordan Hicks arrived in Toronto last week shortly after another former Cardinals pitcher, Genesis Cabrera. For now, the pieces fall nicely into place given that the ace in the set, Jordan Romano, is out of action for a while.

But what should the team do when Romano is fit again? Does Jordan Hicks become the eighth reliever? As Bastl points out, Erik Swanson is also having a nice season.

“They had a good bullpen even before they picked up Hicks. Cabrera has been lights out for them. You have so many options, you can just draw from a hat!”

“Gibby” is impressed with the arsenal of pitchers the Blue Jays are blessed with. Akin to the conversation regarding catchers Alejandro Kirk and Danny Jansen, John Schneider and his crew have a nice problem on their hands. Whoever gets the call on a given night, according to Gibbons the Jays have what it takes to win now.
