The 2018 Kentucky Derby: How to Watch, Post Time, Race Start Time
It’s called “The Most Exciting Two Minutes In Sports” and it’s one of the oldest sports betting events in the United States. Tradition states that the Kentucky Derby is always held on the first Saturday in May, so this year’s race will occur on Saturday, May 5th and will feature 20 horses all competing for the $2 million prize.
The Derby kicks off the famed Triple Crown, and it’s followed by the Preakness Stakes on May 19, and the Belmont Stakes on June 9.
What is the post time for the 144th Kentucky Derby?
The Kentucky Derby post time is scheduled for 6:34 p.m. ET, but the actual race isn’t set to start until 6:46 p.m ET. Again, this race lasts for two minutes, so don’t tune in too late!
