The RBC Heritage: 2026 PGA Tour Betting Odds

Despite sitting the week after the Masters, the RBC Heritage from Hilton Head in South Carolina has a very good field starting Thursday because it’s one of the PGA Tour’s big-money Signature Events, the fourth of the year. After coming up short of a third career Masters win, Scottie Scheffler is favoured on the golf odds.

Let’s quickly mention the one big name not playing this week: World No. 2 Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland as he repeated as Masters champion on Sunday. McIlroy became only the fourth golfer to win consecutive green jackets and first since Tiger Woods in 2001-02. Rory is taking a well-deserved few weeks off. With his sixth major championship, he joined England’s Nick Faldo for second most among European golfers. Only England’s Harry Vardon won more with seven from 1896-1914. The only other world Top 10 player skipping is Justin Rose.

The RBC Heritage is one of only five tournaments given invitational status by the PGA Tour and thus has a smaller field but $20 million (US) purse with a limited field of about 70 and no cut. It’s a family friendly tournament the week after the gruelling Masters and located only about 135 miles from Augusta.

The unique Harbour Town Golf Links, par 71 at 7,213 yards, has hosted the RBC Heritage since the 1960s. It has very tight fairways and small greens and underwent a substantial renovation after last year. It will most likely take double-digits under par to win unless there’s some wacky weather.

The defending champion is American Justin Thomas. He and relative unknown U.S. player Andrew Novak finished 72 holes at 17-under 267, and Thomas took the playoff by draining about a 20-footer for birdie on the first sudden-death hole No. 18. That ended a three-year victory drought for Thomas, who is +4000 to repeat. The last to do that here was Boo Weekley in 2008.

Novak had a chance to win on his 72nd hole with Thomas watching from the clubhouse but missed an 8-foot putt. Then Novak missed his birdie try in the playoff from just inside 35 feet, setting the stage for Thomas. Novak has never won a solo PGA Tour event but did capture the 2025 Zurich Classic of New Orleans two-man event with Ben Griffin. Novak is +15000 this week.

My 2025 pick was Patrick Cantlay, and he was contending entering Sunday but shot 71 and finished T13. There was an opposite-field event to the RBC Heritage in 2025 but not this year.

The RBC Heritage Golf Odds

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (+350) made a late run at the Masters but had to settle for runner-up, one shot behind Rory McIlroy. It was Scheffler’s first event in about a month as his wife recently gave birth to the couple’s second child. Scheffler is having a fine year but still the one victory. He won here in 2024 by three shots and finished eighth last year.

Xander Schauffele (+1300) finished ninth at Augusta for his third straight Top 10 this year. He has been 18th here the past two years and was fourth in 2023. Matt Fitzpatrick (+1600), Russell Henley (+2000) and Cameron Young (+2000) round out the favourites. Young led the Masters for a while over the weekend but finished T3. That’s his best finish at this tournament in 2022.

Fitzpatrick won the event in 2023 in a playoff over Jordan Spieth but hasn’t contended since. Fitzpatrick also has a win this year and was 18th at Augusta. Henley has been Top 20 here each of the past three years but yet to win. He also was T3 at the Masters.

No Canadian has won this tournament. Jim Nelford finished runner-up to Fuzzy Zoeller in 1983. Mackenzie Hughes was the top 2025 finisher at T3, while Taylor Pendrith was T42, Corey Conners T49, Nick Taylor T49 and Adam Hadwin T61. Conners is +10000 this week as is Taylor with Pendrith +12500.

The RBC Heritage Golf Predictions

Austria’s Sepp Straka (+5000) has four career PGA Tour wins but not yet in 2026. He has good results at Hilton Head in three of his past four with a 13th, fifth and third.
