The final Signature Event on the 2026 PGA Tour schedule arrives Thursday at the Travelers Championship outside of Hartford, Conn. Even though it follows the U.S. Open, it’s a strong limited field to due the $20 million (US) purse.

Travelers Championship

American Wyndham Clark nearly had one of the biggest major championship collapses ever Sunday at the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills in New York. He nearly gagged away a six-shot led by shooting 3-over but held on at 4-under to win by a shot over fellow American Sam Burns. Clark became the ninth wire-to-wire winner of the U.S. Open, and it was his second title in that tournament after 2023 at Los Angeles Country Club. Clark is playing this week as of now and is +2200. He also won the Byron Nelson earlier this year and has a best of ninth at the Travelers.

The field is limited to 72 and there is no cut after 36 holes. Because the U.S. Open was played nearby, a lot of guys are opting to tee it up again, although world No. 2 Rory McIlroy isn’t one of them. Eight of the world’s Top 10 are scheduled.

The defending champion is American Keegan Bradley, who finished at 15-under 265 and a shot up on the USA’s Russell Henley and England’s Tommy Fleetwood. After Fleetwood failed to sink in a par from just outside Bradley’s look at birdie on the par-4 18th hole in the final round, Bradley, from nearby Vermont, converted his birdie to win the tournament for the second time in three years. He set the course tournament record at 23-under 257 in 2023.

Bradley is +4500 this week to join Bubba Watson (three) and Billy Casper (four) as the only four-time winners of the event. Bradley comes off a 32nd at the U.S. Open. It’s definitely going to take into double digits under par to win at The TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn., a short par 70 at 6,844 yards (among shortest on Tour) and hosting for the 42st straight year. Jim Furyk shot a Tour-record 58 here in 2016. Each champion of the Travelers since 2016 teed it up at the U.S. Open the week prior.

Travelers Championship Golf Odds

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler was trying to complete the career Grand Slam Sunday at the U.S. Open and made a move but finished fourth. Still just the one victory this year and back in January. He won this event in 2024, beating Tom Kim in a playoff after both finished 72 holes at 20-under. Scheffler has eight top-five finishes in 13 starts so far this season.

Xander Schauffele (+1800) won here in 2022 by a shot at 19 under but hasn’t contended since. He comes off an 11th at the U.S. Open. Cameron Young (+2000) is having a nice season but only a best of ninth in this event two years ago. England’s Tommy Fleetwood had the co-runner-up here last year and was 15th the year before.

Sweden’s Ludvig Aberg (+2200) has a best of 24th at the Travelers. Sam Burns (+2200) nearly tracked down Wyndham Clark at the U.S. Open on Sunday but barely missed a putt on the 72nd hole and finished one shot back. His best showing here is 13th.

No Canadian has won this event. Dave Barr was a co-runner-up in 1988 when he and Joey Sindelar lost in a playoff to Mark Brooks. Nick Taylor was the top finisher last year at T17, while Taylor Pendrith was T25, Adam Hadwin T57 an d Mackenzie Hughes 65th. Corey Conners is +6000 this week with Nick Taylor +7000 and Taylor Pendrith +7000.

Travelers Championship Golf Predictions

Americans have won 27 of the last 30 editions and that’s our play at -150. I might like individually JT Poston (+5500), who won the last Signature Event this year at the Memorial and was T4 at the U.S. Open. Poston was runner-up at the 2022 Travelers.
