2026 Memorial Tournament PGA Tour Betting Odds
It’s the seventh of eight Signature Events on the PGA Tour this season starting Thursday from Dublin, Ohio, with Jack Nicklaus’ Memorial Tournament. There’s a major championship-quality field with world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler per usual a heavy favourite on the golf odds.
The Memorial Tournament
This marks the 50th anniversary of the Memorial Tournament, with the first won in 1976 by American Roger Maltbie, and USA players have taken the vast majority of the titles outside of Columbus, Ohio. Tiger Woods holds the all-time mark with five wins, but he’ll never play here again.
It’s a limited field of 72 for the big-money tournament and while some Signature Events don’t have a 36-hole cut, the three player-host Signature Events do have a cut: This, the Genesis Invitational and Arnold Palmer Invitational. The cut is to the Top 50 and ties plus any player within 10 shots of the lead. With a playoff loss Sunday at the Charles Schwab Challenge, Eric Cole earned a spot in his first Signature Event of the year.
Muirfield Village Golf Club is a par 72 at 7,569 yards that was designed by Nicklaus and the name inspired by Muirfield, Scotland. That’s where the Golden Bear won the first of his three career British Open titles in 1966.
There are six former champions in the field with Scheffler as the two-time defending winner – only Tiger and Kenny Perry (three) have won this event at least three times. Perry didn’t three-peat like Scheffler attempts, but Woods did from 1999-2001.Two years ago, Scheffler finished at 8-under 280 and a shot up on fellow American Collin Morikawa. Last year, Scheffler shot 10-under 278 and four up on USA runner-up Ben Griffin. The last playoff in the tournament was in 2023.
Other past champions include 2022 winner Billy Horschel, 2019 and 2021 champion Patrick Cantlay, 2014 winner Hideki Matsuyama, 2013 winner Matt Kuchar and 2010 winner Justin Rose. All of the world’s Top 10 are teeing it up other than No. 7 Morikawa, who is dealing with a sore hip.
My recommendation in 2025 was simply an American but as an individual liked Xander Schauffele at +1600. He played well the first two rounds but not the weekend and finished T25.
The Memorial Tournament Golf Odds
Scottie Scheffler (+300) aims to become the first player Steve Stricker at the John Deere Classic from 2009-11 to win the same PGA Tour event three years in a row. Scheffler made just one bogey over his final 40 holes last year at Muirfield Village. Still just the one win in 2026 but usually in contention and off a third at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson two Sundays ago.
Rory McIlroy (+1000) returns here for the first time since 2024 when he was 15th. His best result at the event came in 2016, when he finished T4. In two events since winning this year’s Masters, McIlroy has been 19th and seventh.
Cameron Young (+1600) is having a career year but doesn’t have a great track record here with a T25 last year his best result in four tries at the Memorial, including a missed cut. Xander Schauffele (+1800) hasn’t won yet in 2026 but has been no worse than 12th in three of his past four events and no worse than 25th here in eight straight years with a best of eighth in 2024.
Ludvig Aberg (+1800) was the favourite entering last week’s Charles Schwab Challenge but finished 17th. The Swede has been 16th and fifth in two trips to the Memorial. Russell Henley won the Charles Schwab Challenge in a playoff Sunday and is +3000 to win back-to-back weeks. He was fifth here in 2025. England’s Aaron Rai, playing for the first time since his surprise win at the PGA Championship, is +8000.
No Canadians have won this tournament. Nick Taylor was the top finisher last year at fourth, while Taylor Pendrith was T12, Corey Conners T25, Mackenzie Hughes T39 and Adam Hadwin T51. Conners is +10000 this week with Taylor at +12500 and Pendrith +17500.
The Memorial Tournament Golf Predictions
Will take Austria’s Sepp Straka at +7000 for his fifth career Tour win and first in 2026. He has three Top 10s this year, though, and has improved at the Memorial from 16th in 2023 to fifth the next year and third in 2025.
