2026 Cadillac Championship, PGA Tour Odds: Is Scottie Scheffler poised to win after back-to-back runner-up finishes?
It’s a new event on the PGA Tour slate this week – the only new one in 2026 – but a very good field for the Cadillac Championship, a Signature Event played at Trump National Doral in Miami. Per usual, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is favoured on the golf odds.
Cadillac Championship
U.S. president Donald Trump is a golf fanatic, so I’d imagine that he attends a round at his course unless world events get in the way. Doral used to hostan annual event for more than 50 years. Billy Casper won the first Tour event there in 1962, and the venue remained on the calendar through 2016. Doral’s Blue Monster, a par 72 at a whopping 7,739 yards with plenty of water hazards, used to be considered one of the toughest on Tour led by the famous finishing hole: a mega challenging 473-yard par-4 18th.
“It’s one of the toughest par 4s you’ll ever play if it’s into the wind,” Tiger Woods once said. He won four times at the course.
In the 10 years that Doral was the site of a World Golf Championship event, the tournament featured a winning score of 10 under or lower on seven occasions. The Trump organization purchased Doral Resort & Spa out of bankruptcy in 2012, and he oversaw major renovations. Trump used to visit the resort on childhood vacations and would later bring his own family there before buying it. This will not carry the tournament history of previous PGA Tour events contested at Doral.
Despite being a big-money Signature Event, these Top 15 world players are opting to skip in No. 2 Rory McIlroy, red-hot No. 3 Matt Fitzpatrick, No. 9 Xander Schauffele, No. 12 Robert MacIntyre and No. 14 Ludvig Åberg. The field is 72 deep and no cut. There’s another Signature Event next week and then the PGA Championship and some guys don’t like playing three straight weeks.
The Cadillac Championship Golf Odds
It’s obviously a challenge to handicap this new event at a new-look course. Scottie Scheffler (+310) is having a good season but hasn’t won since the American Express in January. He comes off a playoff loss two weeks ago to Matt Fitzpatrick – Scheffler’s second straight runner-up.
Cameron Young (+1300), Collin Morikawa (+2200), Tommy Fleetwood (+2500), Russell Henley (+2500) and Sam Burns (+2700) round out the favourites. Young is having a good year with a win at the Players Championship and three other Top 10s, including at the Masters. Morikawa enters having finished fourth and seventh in his past Tour events and owns a 2026 win on the California Swing.
The big-hitting Fleetwood could have success at such a long track. He opened the year with four Top 10s in his first five but struggled the past two tournaments. Henley eyes his first win since the 2025 Arnold Palmer also in Florida. Burns enters with four straight finishes this year of 21st or better but hasn’t won on Tour since 2023. Aussie Adam Scott won the last tournament at Doral in 2016 and is +3300.
Needless to say, no Canadian has won this tournament and none have captured a PGA Tour event at Doral over the years. Corey Conners is +8000 this week, Nick Taylor +10000, Taylor Pendrith +10000 and Sudarshan Yellamaraju also +10000.
The Cadillac Championship Golf Predictions
Scottie Scheffler seems due a win and usually plays well in Florida, but we will go with England’s Tommy Fleetwood at +2500.
