Winnipeg Blue Bombers CFL Prediction: 2021 Season Betting Odds and Preview
The Grey Cup champs are ready to defend their title and will return with a similar roster that saw them upset the Tiger-Cats in November 2019.
Quarterback Zach Collaros won every game he started for the Blue Bombers in 2019, including three post season wins on the road. The great news for Collaros is the return of the Grey Cup’s Most Valuable Player and Most Valuable Canadian, Andrew Harris. Harris rushed for 1380 yards and four touchdowns in 2019 along with 529 receiving yards. He can do it all for the Bombers.
Collaros with have Receivers Darvin Adams, Rasheed Bailey, Kenny Lawler, Nic Demski and Drew Wolitarsky back. Not returning are Lucky Whitehead who signed with the Lions via free agency and backup Quarterback Chris Streveler found a new home with the Arizona Cardinals of the NFL.
On defence, Willie Jefferson anchors a defence that remains largely intact for 2021. Two key deletions for the Blue and Gold this season are in the secondary with defensive backs Marcus Sayles (signed with Lions) and CFL interceptions leader Winston Rose (NFL) finding new homes. Kicker/Punter Justin Medlock isn’t expected to play this season, and if this is the end of his career, he has been one of the best to play the position. Rookie Marc Liegghio is expected to take his spot.
