Ottawa Redblacks QB Jeremiah Masoli Out for Season

QB Jeremiah Masoli Out for the Season
There was a lot of hoopla about Masoli suiting up for the Redblacks for the first time in a year. He had suffered a broken leg in July 2022 and missed the remainder of that campaign as well. In two seasons with Ottawa, he’ll have partaken in barely a handful of games.
The moment the Achilles tore looked innocuous by professional football standards, but that’s the way to cookie crumbles sometimes. It wasn’t as though Masoli took a dangerous hit to his leg.
It has already been reported that the club is in talks with former Argonauts starter McLeod Bethel-Thompson about the possibility of joining the roster. That said, immediate measures were required, and as such two young quarterbacks have signed with the Redblacks.
Tyrrell Pigrome, 25, was with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers being cut. He’s suited up for Maryland, Western Kentucky, and Mississippi. The other QB is Jake Dunniway, 23, who has spent the past three years at Sacramento State.
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers come to town for Week 6.
