Bo Levi Mitchell Back in Action for Tiger-Cats

There was a lot of fanfare when the Ticats signed Mitchell from the Calgary Stampeders in the offseason. A seasoned veteran and proven winner (he won the Grey Cup in 2014 and 2018), the plan was for him to be a key component to whatever success Hamilton could attain in 2023. Unfortunately, those aspirations took a detour when Mitchell was injured in Week 2 versus the Toronto Argonauts.

He was subsequently placed on a six-game injured list. Good news arrived on Monday this week. His recovery had gone well enough for the team to remove him from said injured list, which ultimately led to the big announcement of his return to action on Friday night.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are currently 2-4 in the East Division, worthy of last place. They navigated rocky waters in Week 7 against the Argos with rookie Taylor Powell, who looked average in a bad 31-15 loss. Regular number two QB Matthew Shiltz is also nursing an injury.
