Edmonton Elks CFL Prediction: 2021 Season Betting Odds and Preview
New name, new Head Coach and a lot of positive energy in Edmonton entering the season. Jaime Elizondo has a really strong foundation entering the new year. Maybe his top partnership will be with Trevor Harris. The two did well together when they were both members of the Ottawa RedBlacks. Can they work the same magic in E-Town?
Harris will have a lot of weapons to work with and don’t be surprised if he leads the CFL in passing and is a contender for the MOP award. The Elks have possibly the deepest set of receivers in the league in Greg Ellingson, Kenny Shaw, Rodney Smith Kevin Elliott and free agent signings of Derel Walker (Toronto) and Armanti Edwards (Toronto). Add to that Canadians Tevaun Smith, Mike Jones and Anthony Parker.
In the backfield, CJ Gable announced his retirement but James Wilder Jr. un-retired and signed a contract with the Elks. In early July, the Elks announced that offensive lineman Colin Kelly will miss the start of the CFL season. The veteran right tackle who has been a mainstay on the Elks o-line underwent surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle. The expected time of recovery is approximately three to five months. Of note on defence, Linebacker Larry Dean left the club via free agency (Saskatchewan).
Edmonton Elks 2021 CFL Schedule
The Elks open up the 2021 season with two games against East Division opponents. Always a highlight on the CFL schedule is the traditional back-to-back Labour Day games between the Stampeders and Elks. The club will have a tough stretch run to end the season with games against the Tiger-Cats, a home and home series with the Roughriders and the final game of the regular season in Vancouver.

Edmonton Elks 2021 Season Prediction
The Elks win total at Sports Interaction is listed at 5.5 on the season and they are paying +1000 to win the Grey Cup. I can’t see a Trevor Harris-led Elks team falling below this win-loss total. The Harris-Elizondo combination will likely be the highest scoring offence in the entire CFL, but can they stop anyone on defence?
2021 Projection: 7-7
