Calgary Stampeders CFL Prediction: 2021 Season Betting Odds and Preview
The health of Quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell is key to any success the Stampeders are to have this 2021 season. Mitchell, when healthy has been very good, but he hasn’t been healthy on a full-time basis.
Keeping Mitchell healthy and upright is all about the offensive line and Shane Bergman’s retirement does not help that plan. The team’s best off-season signing was Centre Sean McEwan (via Toronto) who returns home after spending the last number of years with the Argos. McEwan played high school football in Calgary and five years at the University of Calgary. He will be the core of the team’s offensive line.
There are plenty of subtractions from the roster that finished second in the West division in 2019. The major losses on offence include Running back Don Jackson, who signed a contract with the Tiger-Cats. Big play Receivers Eric Rogers (Toronto), Reggie Begelton (NFL) have exited Cowtown and very reliable backup, now starter Nick Arbuckle, will be the main man in Toronto this season. Linebackers Nate Holley (NFL) and Wynton McManis (NFL) have also found new zip codes south of the border.
There’s a ton of question marks yet to be answered for the Stampeders entering this season. Is Mitchell healthy enough to play the entire year? Who is the backup if he falls to injury? Can Running back Ka’Deem Carey become the star many think he will be? There is a young group of players on offence that will need to gel if this team has any hope this upcoming season.

Calgary Stampeders 2021 Season Prediction
The Stampeders win total at Sports Interaction is listed at 7.5 on the season and they are paying +487 to win the Grey Cup. There are simply too many holes in this young Stampeders team for them to duplicate another 12-win campaign. Bo Levi Mitchell will have to be a miracle worker if this team comes close to repeating that mark. Look for the Stamps to take a big step back in 2021.
2021 Projection: 6-8
