Argonauts vs. Elks Prediction: CFL Week 11 Point Spread, Odds

The Elks are -2.5 on the CFL odds with a total of 53.5 points that is the highest of the week.

CFL Odds and Betting

Both Toronto and Edmonton are sitting last in their respective divisions and thus would miss the playoffs as things stand. While that would be nothing new for the Elks as they haven’t played extra football since 2019, the Argos are of course reigning Grey Cup champions and haven’t missed the playoffs since 2019. To repeat in the Grey Cup, Toronto is up to +1600.

This is the first meeting of the season between the clubs with Edmonton at BMO Field in Week 15. The Argos had won four straight in the series before losing the regular-season finale last season at Commonwealth Stadium, 31-30 in overtime on a walk-off rouge. Tre Ford threw for 325 yards and three touchdowns, adding 81 yards on the ground. Nick Arbuckle threw for 378 yards, two touchdowns and an interception for Toronto. Lirim Hajrullahu had made a 16-yard field goal at the end of regulation to force overtime after a combined 31 points were scored in the fourth quarter.

Toronto is 4-2 ATS in its past six trips to Edmonton. The over is 8-2 in the past 10 meetings there. With two bad defences this year, expect another high-scoring game.

Toronto Argonauts

I projected the Argos to beat visiting Ottawa by a score of 30-25 in Week 10, but Toronto was upset in a 46-42 shootout – the team’s second straight loss and second game in a row allowing at least 40 points. Toronto is last in the CFL in allowing 32.4 PPG, while Edmonton is second-to-last at 30.1 PPG. The Argos led the RedBlacks 22-1 after a quarter but could not slow Ottawa QB Dru Brown in the final three.

Once again starting for the injured Chad Kelly (on IR), Nick Arbuckle played well in a loss, completing 32 of 38 for 317 yards (fifth game this season with at least 300 yards passing) with three scores but a late desperation pick to ice the game. He also rushed for a TD. Wideout Jake Herslow had his best game of the season, hauling in six catches for 84 yards and a score – his first of the year. Ottawa made it a point to focus on fellow WR Damonte Coxie, who was coming off back-to-back huge games and had at least one TD catch in three straight. Coxie entered Week 10 leading the CFL with 10 receptions of 30-plus yards but was held to just two catches for 20 yards.

The Argos are 3-6 ATS in their past nine.

Edmonton Elks

Edmonton was a 2-point underdog last Friday in Montreal but got its first road win of 2025 in a 23-22 victory. Former Alouettes QB Cody Fajardo led a comeback from down eight points in the fourth quarter. The 2023 Grey Cup MVP finished 27-for-38 overall for 289 yards and two scores despite being sacked six times while rushing for a team-high 14 yards. Edmonton had zero running game to speak of. Fajardo improved his career record to 5-1 against Montreal. Wideout Kaion Julien-Grant — another former Alouettes player — scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns, including the game-winner with 15 seconds to go. He’s up to a career-high five TD catches.

For the second straight week, running back Justin Rankin led the team in the receiving game with 88 yards on four receptions. The Edmonton defence ranks last in the CFL in allowing 404.1 yards per game but played one of its better games of the season. Entering Week 10 with a league-low seven turnovers forced, the Elks had two takeaways.

Edmonton is 4-1 ATS in its past five games.
