Alouettes QB Cody Fajardo to Play Against Blue Bombers

Things got a little hairy in Week 9 when the Als tussled with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Montreal’s primary gunslinger Cody Fajardo suffered a left shoulder injury, a high price to pay for the 27-14 win that night.

As such, Montreal’s staff opted to keep Fajardo on the sidelines in Weeks 10 and 11. The first of those two missed contests would have seen Fajardo go up against his former club, the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Evans did the team proud that night, doing his part in a 41-12 romp of the Regina-based squad.

Despite the two missed games, Fajardo still ranks fifth in the CFL in passing yards with 1,877. He’s also tossed six touchdowns versus five interceptions. Yes, it’s a lot of yards and his completion percentage is a solid 67.3 per cent, but Montreal hasn’t punched the ball into the endzone enough this season. They’ll have to fix that in Week 12 versus Winnipeg, a gifted club offensively.
