2026 Grey Cup Odds: Alouettes open as +275 favourites

The Saskatchewan Roughriders defeated the Montreal Alouettes 25-17 to win the 2025 Grey Cup on Sunday, but it’s not too early to look ahead to next year.

Let’s go over the opening odds for the 113th Grey Cup.

113th Grey Cup favourites

Montreal opens as a +275 favourite to win the Grey Cup in 2026 after opening with the second-shortest odds last off-season. Davis Alexander will look to continue the dominance that saw him win his first 13 career starts in the CFL before his first loss in the Grey Cup.

The Toronto Argonauts opened last season as +240 favourites to repeat, but 2025 was a disastrous season that saw the Boatmen miss the playoffs with a 5-13 record. Oddsmakers are expecting a bounce back year and possibly a healthy Chad Kelly, giving Toronto the second-shortest odds to win the Grey Cup in 2026 at +500.

Grey Cup contenders

Despite winning it all in 2025, Trevor Harris and the Roughriders are tied with Nathan Rourke’s BC Lions for the third-shortest Grey Cup odds at +600 each. It’s fair to question what Harris will have left in the tank at 40-years-old, while Rourke is the newest face of the CFL after winning Most Outstanding Player.

After Winnipeg’s streak of five straight Grey Cup appearances was snapped this season, the Bombers sit at +750 to win in 2026, leading only Hamilton, Ottawa and Edmonton. Head coach Mike O’Shea is back on a three-year contract, but can Zach Collaros turn back the clock?

Grey Cup long shots

The Edmonton Elks have the longest Grey Cup odds at +2000. The Elks are coming off a last place finish in the West Division, but their 7-11 record showed clear improvement and there’s hope they can compete for a playoff spot in 2026.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are the biggest snub on the CFL futures board, opening at +1000 to win the 2026 Grey Cup. The Ti-Cats have a lot to build on after leading the East Division with an 11-7 record and narrowly missing out on a Grey Cup appearance because of a walk-off field goal.
