2026 CFL Week 8 Betting Odds and Picks: Argonauts and Stampeders are locks SU and ATS
Week 8 is the 2026 CFL season is here and we’re back with betting odds and pick for every game.
The action kicks off with West Division matchups on Thursday and Friday before and East-West showdown on Saturday and an East Division finale on Sunday.

Edmonton Elks at Saskatchewan Roughriders
A heavyweight West Division battle opens up Week 8 on Thursday with the 5-1 Elks visiting the 4-1 Roughriders. It will be an emotional night following a weekend car crash that claimed the lives of veteran Saskatchewan linebacker Jayden Dalke and Regina resident Bhishma Rajyaguru.
It’s tough to focus on the football aspect of this game, but overall, these are two evenly matched teams, so Edmonton should be able to cover as a 4.5-point underdog.
Pick: Elks ATS (+4.5)
Calgary Stampeders at Winnipeg Blue Bombers
West Division action continues Friday in Calgary. The Stampeders are looking to get back in the win column after being swept in a home-and-home series against the Montreal Alouettes, while Winnipeg barely scraped by the lowly Ottawa RedBlacks last week.
Despite a 2-4 start to the year, Stamps quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. is off to a torrid pace, with a league-leading 17 TD passes and no interceptions.
The Bombers worry me in this spot. They’re still playing without quarterback Zach Collaros and they trailed the pitiful (and winless) RedBlacks by 17 points in the fourth quarter.
Pick: Stampeders SU and ATS (+1.5)
Toronto Argonauts at B.C. Lions
It’s been a miserable start to the season for the 1-4 Lions and the 2-4 Argonauts. However, both teams can be cut some slack as neither has played in their home stadium yet because of the FIFA World Cup.
Despite returning to BC Place, it’s likely only going to get worse for the Lions in the immediate future as quarterback Nathan Rourke is set to miss the next few weeks with a shoulder injury, while backup Chase Brice threw four interceptions in relief last week.
On the flip side, the Argos became the first victim of the new rouge rule when Lirim Hajrullahu missed a 31-yard field goal on the game’s final play last week. Meanwhile, Chad Kelly continues to lead the CFL with nine interceptions while sitting second in both passing yards (2,126) and passing TDs (15).
Pick: Argonauts SU and ATS (-3.5)
Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Montreal Alouettes
The biggest spread of the week easily belongs to the 3-3 Ti-Cats and 5-1 Als. Hamilton managed to survive without Bo Levi Mitchell last week, but they could be in a world of hurt when they visit the highest scoring team in the league, Montreal.
Tre Ford was solid in his first start for the Tabbies in Week 7, throwing for 218 yards, one touchdown and one interception while adding another 109 yards on the ground. However, that was against a Toronto defence that ranks near the bottom of the CFL in almost every statistic.
The Alouettes enter Week 8 with the highest scoring offence (34.7 points per game) in the CFL behind Davis Alexander (first in the CFL with 2,181 passing yards and Tyson Philpot (first in the CFL with 807 receiving yards).
