Davis Alexander
Alexander returned to practice this week after missing eight straight games with a hamstring injury. He took starting reps at Tuesday’s practice and is expected to be ready to play on Friday.
It’s a welcome return for the Als, who are 3-7 without Alexander in the lineup this season compared to 4-0 when he starts.
Alexander is a perfect 8-0 in his career as a starter, tied with Danny McManus for the CFL record for most wins to start a career.
The 26-year-old has thrown for 1,106 yards with six TDs and three interceptions in 2025, while adding another 87 yards and one touchdown on the ground.
Montreal Alouettes
Because of various injuries, Montreal has started four different quarterbacks this season, including McLeod Bethel-Thompson, Caleb Evans and fourth-stringer James Morgan. The team has won their last two starts with Bethel-Thompson under centre.
Alexander will be looking to rejuvenate an Alouettes offence that ranks dead last in the CFL in offensive points per game (22.1) and eighth in net yards (325.4).
Montreal (7-7) currently sits second in the East Division, behind Hamilton (9-5) and ahead of Toronto (5-9).
