If the Notorious one ever sets foot in the squared circle with Floyd Mayweather, he’s going to be a massive underdog.
McGregor was pulled from his UFC 200 main event bout with Nate Diaz because he skipped promotional obligations in Las Vegas and has been squabbling with the Ultimate Fighting Championship via social media ever since. So, is it really that crazy to think McGregor would shift gears to focus on what would be a massive payday against Mayweather?
Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor Betting Odds
Mayweather vs. McGregor odds opened with Mayweather set as a huge -10,000 favourite with McGregor a +1200 underdog.
McGregor and Mayweather do have some verbal sparring history as well. McGregor once claimed he would “knock Mayweather out in 30 seconds,” which doesn’t seem to have sat well with the boxing legend.

According to The Sun: “Floyd went mad after Conor said he would crush him and knock him out in 30 seconds, he’s obsessed with making Conor eat his words. Floyd is calling the shots. It’s strictly boxing and Conor will have to lose roughly 25lbs. It was agreed in principle on May 2, but Floyd wouldn’t reveal the identity of his opponent until last night when he told friends he’ll be fighting Conor.”
Mayweather, who owns a perfect 49-0 professional record, would reportedly pocket $100 million for the bout while McGregor stands to make $7 million.
It seems as though McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh would be game for that.
