Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3: Boxing Odds, Prediction
Katie Taylor versus Amanda Serrano has turned into one of boxing’s great rivalries. And while Taylor has a 2-0 record after 20 combined rounds, controversy surrounding the results has led many fans to believe Serrano didn’t deserve either loss.
Can Taylor cap off a three-peat on Saturday, or will Serrano walk away a newly minted champion?
Serrano is a -160 favourite to win on the boxing odds, while Taylor is a +150 underdog.

Katie Taylor Boxing Odds
Taylor is hugely popular in Ireland and she’s been credited with raising the profile of women’s boxing in her home country and around the world. Boasting a 24-1 record, the 39-year-old is considered one of the greatest boxers, female or male, of all-time. She has been the undisputed world lightweight champion since 2019 and the world super lightweight champion since 2023.
“The Bray Bomber” first faced Serrano in April 2022, winning by split decision. It was the first women’s fight to headline at Madison Square Garden and it was described as the biggest women’s fight of all time. Taylor was hurt in the fifth round, but battled back to win a split decision that was named Fight of the Year by Sports Illustrated.
The second fight went down at AT&T Stadium in Dallas last November as the final prelim fight before the infamous Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight. Taylor again battled through a significant attack from Serrano, going on to win by unanimous decision. The fight, which was broadcast on Netflix, was estimated to have 50 million viewers, making it the most-watched women’s professional sporting event in U.S. history.
A trilogy fight always means there’s plenty of data to go over. Taylor may not be as physically gifted as Serrano, but she’s proven to have the edge when it comes to the intangibles like mental warfare. She’s been knocked around by Serrano in both previous fights, but managed to battle through and claim decision victories. You can never count Taylor out.
Amanda Serrano Boxing Odds
Serrano is one of the most accomplished boxers of all-time, with title wins across seven divisions. She’s 47-3 (one draw) in her career and she is the unified featherweight world champion having held the WBO title since 2019, the IBO title since 2021 and the WBA title since 2023. She also held the IBF title between 2022 and 2024.
“The Real Deal” is the only female and the only Puerto Rican fighter to win titles in more than four weight classes. She has been named Female Boxer of the Year twice (2016, 2018) by the WBO and she holds the Guinness World Record for most boxing world championships won in different weight classes by a female, with nine major world titles across seven weight classes.
There are plenty of critics and fight fans who think Serrano received a raw deal in the first two fights against Taylor, particularly last November in Texas. Serrano scored significant knockdowns that dazed Taylor in the fifth round of the first fight and the opening round of the second fight.
Those knockdowns show just how powerful Serrano is. She has 37 professional wins by knockout compared to just six for Taylor. Serrano also has the edge in defence. She hasn’t sustained any noticeable damage from Taylor, with her fight IQ keeping her a step ahead.
Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano Prediction
This really is one of the great trilogies in recent boxing history and the first two fights could have gone either way. I picked Serrano to win on points last fight and I still believe she is the better overall fighter. But, with two fighters as closely matched as Taylor and Serrano, the latter will need to score a knockout to guarantee a win.
