Both their first two games of the season showcased talented goal scoring and the desire to win at all costs. Even when they find themselves in difficult situations, Liverpool somehow manages to climb out of them against all odds.

When it comes to realistically taking down Liverpool, Arsenal are the closest viable option. The Gunners kicked off their 2025 EPL season with a 1-0 victory over Manchester United before adding Leeds United to their most recent list of victims after dishing out a 5-0 win. They have yet to let up a single goal this season, which could prove to be a tough feat against the mighty Reds; however, they are capable.
Arsenal boasts two separate goal scorers with two goals to their name, including new signing Victor Gyokeres and Jurrien Timber (one assist). Bukayo Saka (one goal) and Riccardo Calafiori (one goal and one assist) also rep one goal apiece. The one advantage they hold over Liverpool is that they’ve got a +6 goal differential with no goals yet conceded so far this season.
EPL Prediction: Who Will Win Arsenal vs. Liverpool?
All signs traditionally point towards a draw in this matchup; however, the Reds simply refuse to cave, no matter the scenario. All things considered, I’m going with a 2-1 Liverpool victory, for several reasons.
Their new talent fit the mold right at the start of the season, their bench players have been extremely impactful thus far, and the Reds continue to net goals whether they’re leading or trailing. Arsenal is by far Liverpool’s toughest matchup of the season and will likely score a consolation goal, but the Reds are bound to prevent Arsenal from earning another clean sheet in this one.
