In the lead-up to the Super Bowl, Kelce’s performance in the Chiefs’ three playoff games has demonstrated that, despite a somewhat lackluster regular season, he is currently operating at peak performance. Kelce accumulated over 70 yards in all three games and was particularly impressive, catching all 11 targets against the Ravens and 12 of his 16 combined targets against Buffalo and Miami. With an average of 11.9 yards per reception, Kelce is the top receiving target for Kansas City.

Furthermore, Patrick Mahomes and Kelce have the most touchdowns of any duo in NFL history. Kelce recently surpassed Jerry Rice’s long-standing record for the most career catches in the postseason. At 34 years old, he ranks second all-time in postseason yards and touchdowns.

Finally, I expect the 49ers’ offense to put up big points in this game. The Chiefs will need to call a significant number of passes, particularly in the second half, to keep pace with the star-studded 49ers roster.

If this scenario unfolds, there is no doubt that Mahomes will look to Kelce in the most crucial moments, as he has already proven himself by hauling in 16 receptions for 214 yards in the Chiefs’ two Super Bowl victories.
