Clippers vs. Raptors Prediction: NBA Odds, Point Spread

The Clippers are favoured on the NBA odds.

NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis

This starts a season-ending four-game road trip for the Clippers and it will be interesting to see how they handle superstars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George this week ahead of the playoffs. Los Angeles is going to finish either third or fourth in the West; how hard should the team push just to potentially improve by one spot? I promise you no team wants to finish third and have the Lakers finish sixth and that be a first-round matchup.

Last Tuesday, the Clippers beat the visiting Raptors 105-100 (spread was set at -11.5) to end what was a three-game losing streak at the time. The Dinos led 94-88 with about five minutes left playing without Kyle Lowry, OG Anunoby and Chris Boucher. George and Marcus Morris each had 22 points for the Clippers, while Leonard attempted just six shots and had 13 points. Fred VanVleet had 27 points and Pascal Siakam 24 for Toronto, but no one else had more than 13.

Toronto is 4-6 in the past 10 meetings but has covered six of the previous 10.

Los Angeles Clippers

The Clippers, in their regular-season home finale, had a two-game winning streak snapped Sunday in a 106-100 upset loss to a very good Knicks team. Los Angeles is the best three-point shooting team in the NBA but was just 12-for-35 in that one. Kawhi Leonard led the Clippers with 29 points. Serge Ibaka has been out since mid-March due to lower back tightness and not expected back here. L.A. is 23-1 this season when scoring at least 120 points and 11-0 when holding its opponent to less than 100 points. The team is 16-6 this season following a loss.

Toronto Raptors

The Raptors would be eliminated from playoff contention Monday night if Indiana beats Cleveland, which is likely. The Dinos used their franchise-record 34th different starting lineup of the season Saturday in Tampa in a 109-99 loss to Memphis. Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet were given the game off for rest while OG Anunoby and Chris Boucher remained out injured. Frankly, there’s little reason for any of those guys to play the final few games. To make matters worse, Pascal Siakam left with a shoulder strain in the third quarter and Rodney Hood left with a fractured left finger. Hood, Freddie Gillespie and Jalen Harris are the only current Raptors not to start a game this season. Toronto leads the all-time series with the Clippers 27-22 and is 16-8 at “home.”
