MNF injury: Washington Commanders kicker Matt Gay questionable vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Washington Commanders kicker Matt Gay is listed as questionable for tonight’s Monday Night Football game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Gay didn’t practice at all this week, but reportedly joined the team on the flight to Kansas City. The Chiefs currently do not have another kicker on the roster.

The Commanders are listed as big 11-point underdogs on the NFL odds board with a game over/under of 48 points.

Washington enters the game having lost two straight, including a 44-22 defeat to the Dallas Cowboys last week. The Kansas City Chiefs are on a two-game winning streak. Their most recent victory was a 31-0 win against the Las Vegas Raiders.

In the 2025 season, Gay has converted 10 of 14 field goal attempts for a 71.4 percent success rate. He is a perfect 18-for-18 on extra-point attempts. Gay is 4-for-7 on field goals of 50 or more yards this season.
