2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Preview: Odds, Groups and Schedule
This year marks the first tournament that will feature 32 teams. When the women’s tournament started in 1991, there were only 12 teams competing.
Held in countries all around the world since its inaugural 1991 event, this year’s tournament will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand, with the Final match being played in Sydney, Australia.


Women’s World Cup 2023 Schedule
Initial Group Stage Games: July 20 through August 3
Round of 16 Teams: August 5 to August 8
Quarterfinals: August 11 and August 12
Two Semi-Final Games: August 15 and August 16
Third Place Game: August 19
Final: August 20


2023 Women’s World Cup Groups
This year’s tournament will feature eight groups of four countries each. Every team within each group will play a minimum of three games against each of the other teams in their group in what is called the “Group Stage.”
The two teams with the most points after the group stage will move forward to the Round of 16 – a series of elimination games. The winners of those matches will partake in the quarterfinals, which will of course lead to the semifinals and the third-place and final championship match.
The eight starting groups, called Groups A through H, for the 2023 tournament are listed below:

2023 Women’s World Cup Winner Odds
The 2019 Women’s World Cup saw the favourite – the USWNT – win the final against the Netherlands with a final score of 2-0. The United States are again priced as favourites to repeat in 2023.
