Divisional leaders meet in Winnipeg Tuesday evening in what both teams hope is not the last time they meet this season. Both the Jets and Sharks have one point leads over their second place rivals. The Jets have 14 games left in the regular season with just under 60 percent of them against opponents that are currently in a playoff position.

Sharks vs Jets Betting Analysis

This is the third and final regular season match-up between these two teams. In the first two games, the visiting team has won the game and that seems to be the trend as of late. The Sharks have played well in Winnipeg going 4-1 in their last five games. Overall, the road team in this series is 8-3 in their last 11 games.
Breaking down the numbers even further, in the last 10 games played head-to-head, five of the games have been decided by a single goal. The widest goal spread is four, back on November 25, 2017. Martin Jones backstopped the team to a 4-0 victory. While the over/under is an even 5-5 in the 10 games.

San Jose Sharks

This is the second game of a back-to-back for the Sharks. Monday night in Minnesota the Sharks blanked the Wild 3-0. Martin Jones  recorded his third shutout of the season and looks to be in playoff form. He has turned aside 128 of the last 137 shots he’s faced. Tuesday’s starter hasn’t been announced at press time, but the likely candidate is Aaron Dell gets the call against the Jets. Dell hasn’t started a game since February 24.
The Sharks are riding a five-game winning streak, are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games, and 14-3-1 in their last 18 games. They are doing everything they can to make sure they will win the Pacific division and get themselves a Wildcard opponent in the first round of the playoffs. The other option is not as tempting as if San Jose or Calgary finish second, it means a first round match-up with the Vegas Golden Knights, who ended up winning the Western conference last season.
Timo Meier continues to be a great story for the team this season. He recently set a single-season record for goals scored in a season by a Swiss-born player (27 goals). He’s lighting the lamp as of late with five goals (one assist) in his last five games. He also recorded his 100th NHL point in Minnesota Monday night.
Defenceman Brent Burns leads the team in scoring, and has three assists in his last five games. Logan Couture has seven points (two goals, five assists) in his last seven games. Joe Pavelski has 10 goals and 12 assists in 22 career games against the Jets.
Of note, forward Evander Kane (personal) has been ruled out for Tuesday’s game.

Winnipeg Jets

The Jets didn’t get the result they wanted on Sunday evening in Washington, falling to the Capitals 3-1. Overall, they played a good road game, allowing over 18 shots against from the offensive-minded Capitals attack. The Capitals were fortunate to get some brilliant goaltending from Pheonix Copley as he stopped 33 shots and was named the game’s first star. The Jets struggled to score on the power-play going 0-for-5 with the man advantage. Winnipeg completes the four-game road trip going 2-2 against four playoff teams.
The NHL schedule makers did not do the Jets any favours this late in the season. This game with the Sharks marks the start of a three-game home stand for the club against three teams that are ranked in the top five overall in points.
The Jets do have one of the best home ice records going 22-8-4, and in the conference with an impressive 23-24-2.
Captain Blake Wheeler saw his eight game point scoring streak come to an end as he did not register a point versus the Capitals. In 18 career games against the Sharks, he has 17 points.
