Ottawa Senators

Anton Forsberg stopped 28 of the 29 shots thrown his way, boosting his record to 14-12-2. Josh Norris’ team-leading 25th goal of the year stood as the game-winner assisted by Alex Formenton, who would seal it with the empty netter.
Ottawa was without their top defenceman; Thomas Chabot after he broke his hand on Wednesday. Artem Zub has stepped up in his place logging almost 25 minutes last night.
The Senators are in New York for their next game Tuesday night versus the Islanders.
Montreal Canadiens
Jake Allen’s return to the crease was spoiled Thursday night, as the Canadiens fell short in overtime 4-3 to the Dallas Stars. Allen stopped 31 of 35 shots in his first taste of game action since January 12.
Another goal for Cole; Canadiens rookie Cole Caufield stayed red hot scoring his 12th goal on the powerplay to open the scoring for Montreal. The 20-year-old followed that with a beautiful assist, for his 29th point in 45 games.
Montreal is halfway through a six-game homestand and their next opponent will be the Boston Bruins, Monday night.
