Toronto Maple Leafs at Washington Capitals

Can Washington sniper Alex Ovechkin score his first goal of the season and move closer to breaking Wayne Gretzky’s all-time record?
Anaheim Ducks at Columbus Blue Jackets
The Blue Jackets have looked good early in the season, while Anaheim’s scoring troubles from last year have carried over into 2023-24.
Buffalo Sabres at Ottawa Senators
The Sens have won three of their last four games, but they’re up against an emerging Sabres team with five players who scored at least 28 goals last season (Tage Thompson, Alex Tuch, Jeff Skinner, Dylan Cozens, Victor Olofsson).
Carolina Hurricanes at Tampa Bay Lightning
Two of the pre-season favourites from the Eastern Conference have struggled early, with the ‘Canes allowing a league-high 5.00 goals per game while the Bolts are fourth-worst with 4.00 goals-against per game.
New Jersey Devils at Montreal Canadiens

Devils superstar Jack Hughes has points in every game this season and he’ll look to keep that going by recording his fourth multi-point game of the year in Montreal.
Dallas Stars at Pittsburgh Penguins
Reigning Norris winner Erik Karlsson is starting to hit his stride with the Penguins while Dallas’ Jason Robertson is searching for a breakout game.
San Jose Sharks at Florida Panthers
With just two goals on 20 chances with the man advantage to start the season, will Florida’s power play come alive against the winless Sharks?
Colorado Avalanche at New York Islanders

Colorado is playing like the team that steamrolled their way to the Stanley Cup in 2022, but the Avs have a tougher test in New York against the Islanders and Ilya Sorokin, one of the best goalies in the NHL.
Seattle Kraken at Detroit Red Wings
Detroit’s Alex DeBrincat leads the NHL in goals (eight) and points (12), while Seattle’s Matty Beniers, last year’s Calder winner, has just one point and no goals in six games this season.
Boston Bruins at Chicago Blackhawks
It’s an Original Six matchup as the undefeated Boston Bruins travel to Chicago to face phenom Connor Bedard and the Blackhawks.
St. Louis Blues at Winnipeg Jets
Fresh off signing a new contract extension, Winnipeg’s Mark Scheifele is playing at a point-per-game pace, while the Blues’ Jordan Binnington has turned back the clock with a 1.26 goals-against average and .959 save percentage.
Edmonton Oilers at Minnesota Wild
Connor McDavid might be out of the lineup for Edmonton, but the Oilers are still scary with Leon Draisaitl leading the way. Bring on Draisaitl versus Kirill “The Thrill” Kaprizov any day of the week.
Vancouver Canucks at Nashville Predators

Vancouver’s duo of Elias Pettersson (10 points) and Brock Boeser (six goals) are off to hot starts while the scorching Predators have scored nine goals over their last two games.
New York Rangers at Calgary Flames
Calgary managed to pick up just three of a possible 10 points on their recent road trip. The Rangers started their own five-game roadie on Saturday, downing Seattle 4-1.
Arizona Coyotes at Los Angeles Kings
The Kings have been a two-faced team this season, ranking top five in goals per game (4.20, third) and bottom 10 in goals against per game (3.60, 23rd).
Philadelphia Flyers at Vegas Golden Knights
There’s been no Stanley Cup hangover for the 6-0-0 Golden Knights, but the Flyers have proven they won’t be a pushover this season.
