The Jets have held largely steady since opening as +122 underdogs on the NHL odds, dipping only slightly to +123, while the Stars are perched as -148 favourites to open their season on a 3-0-0 run for the second time in three seasons. The total has held steady since opening at 6.0, with the UNDER commanding a slim 53 per cent majority of the betting action.

Jake Oettinger has been rock solid in net, stopping 60 of 62 shots faced through the first two games, and blanking Preds shooters in the opening frame in both of last week’s meetings. Oettinger has enjoyed lots of goal support, with Dallas jumping out to early multi-goal leads in each of their dates with Nashville.
Mason Marchment looks poised to build on a breakthrough campaign last season. Marchment stormed out of the gate in last week’s season opener, tallying a pair of first-period goals, and adding his third of the season on Saturday night. Both Roope Hintz and Jason Robertson have contributed four points to date. Robertson also enjoyed steady success versus Winnipeg last season, scoring five times in four meetings.
