The NHL ends its 10-game Tuesday night schedule in Vancouver as the Canucks host the Anaheim Ducks for their first of four meetings this season.

The Ducks were unbeaten during their recent four game homestand, bringing their record to 6-4-3, good enough for third in the Pacific Division. Vancouver needs to pull out a win tonight to keep from slipping into last place in the division.

The Canucks are -157 favourites to win on the NHL odds with a total of 5.5.

Ducks vs. Canucks NHL Betting Odds

Thanks to a home record of 5-2-1, the Ducks have climbed up to third place in the Pacific Division. The Ducks have been making bettors money thanks to their 11-2 record against the spread. They have been keeping the puck out of their net efficiently over the course of their win streak, playing the under three games in a row.

Sunday’s battle with Dallas played the over for Vancouver, snapping a seven game under trend. The Canucks have covered the spread in eight of their 12 games, including six of the past eight. Tonight will be the final game of their current seven-game homestand. They’ve gone 2-4 in the previous six games.

Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks held the St. Louis Blues to a single goal, before adding three goals of their own in the third period to secure a 4-1 win at home on Sunday. John Gibson stopped 34 shots, continuing what has been a dominant week for the netminder. In his past three starts, Gibson has three wins, including a shutout, while posting a .963 save percentage.

Troy Terry continued his early season hot streak, scoring his eighth goal of the year on the power-play goal. Terry has a point in 11 straight games, racking up a team high 14 points.

Anaheim forwards Rickard Rakell and Jakob Silfverberg have both been missing during this win streak, making it that much more impressive.

Vancouver Canucks

Vancouver was 0-18 on the power-play headed into Sunday’s game versus the Dallas Stars. JT Miller snapped the slump in the second period which opened the flood gates and they tucked two more with the man advantage. The special teams performance was huge, but would have went wayward without Thatcher Demko between the pipes. Demko’s numbers are not super flashy with a 2.59 goals against average and .918 save percentage, but he has been making some incredible highlight reel saves.

Miller’s two goals against Dallas extended his point streak to four games and increased his lead in team scoring. The 28-year-old, in his third season with Vancouver, has five goals and 14 points through 12 games.
