2025 NHL Odds: Jets vs. Flames same-game parlay for October 20
Teams trending in opposite directions meet Monday night in Calgary as the 1-5 Flames host the 4-1 Winnipeg Jets.
The season is only a couple of weeks old, but fans are already panicking in Calgary with the Flames riding a five-game losing streak. Jets fans are as happy as they can be with a four-game win streak.
We’re going through the numbers and compiling a strong parlay to consider ahead of tonight’s meeting, but you can also take a look at our full game preview and prediction.
Here’s what I have for a three-leg parlay priced at +700:
- Jets moneyline (-150)
- Total Under 5.5 (+100)
- Mark Scheifele 3+ shots (+140)

Winnipeg Jets moneyline
This is a pretty simple play, I’m targeting the hot team to stay hot and the cold team to stay cold. Calgary has not only been losing, they’ve been losing bad. The Flames were just smacked around 6-1 in Vegas on Saturday and they enter Monday ranking in the bottom-10 of the NHL in both shots per game (24.2) and shots-against (29.8).
Meanwhile, Winnipeg ranks third in the NHL in goals per game (4.20) and third in power play percentage (33.3 per cent). That bodes well against a Calgary squad that has generated the second-most penalty minutes in the league.
Total Under 5.5
I’m taking the Under in this game for two reasons. First, the Flames have only managed to score seven goals on their current five-game losing skid and I don’t see how that changes against reigning Vezina winner Connor Hellebuyck, who has a .915 save percentage and 2.51 goals-against average in four games.
And secondly, the Jets’ league-leading 17.9 shooting percentage just isn’t sustainable. For context, the next four closest teams are all shooting around 13 per cent. Dustin Wolf should be the answer to slowing down Winnipeg’s shooters after posting a .921 SV and 2.33 GAA last year in his rookie season.
Mark Scheifele 3+ shots
Mark Scheifele is on an absolute heater to start the year with nine points (6G, 3A) in five games. Scheifele has produced at least three shots every game since the season-opener and his ice time average of 3:01 on Winnipeg’s lethal power play should help him get a lot of looks tonight.
