Idina Menzel and John Legend have been announced as being the pregame entertainment before Super Bowl XLIX on February 1st. Tony-winning actress Menzel will have the honors of singing the National Anthem and Grammy-winning singer John Legend will sing “America the Beautiful.”
Menzel, most known for her part in singing “Let It Go” in the Disney sensation “Frozen,” will follow some legendary singers who have performed the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Most notably, Menzel remembers Whitney Houston’s 1991 performance at Super Bowl XXV in a tweet announcing her spot in the pregame ceremonies.

The Frozen star will follow what some believe to be the best rendition of the Star Spangled Banner ever prior to the Super Bowl last year, performed by opera star Rene Flemming. John Legend will follow Queen Latifah who also had a great performance in 2014.
With the NFL’s announcement of Menzel as the anthem performer, bets on the length of the Star Spangled Banner prior to game time can now be placed in our Super Bowl props!
Katy Perry will be performing at half-time and bets are already being taken as to whether or not her on again-off again boyfriend, John Mayer, will take the stage.
