Rams’ WR Cooper Kupp to Miss Week 1 Due to Injury
It was announced late Wednesday that Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp, one of the best in the game, will not be available for the team’s Week 1 clash against the Seattle Seahawks. The 2021 triple crown king suffered a hamstring injury during training camp and has not recovered in time to play.
The Seahawks were previously a -5.0 favourite, but that figure has moved up slightly to -5.5.

Rams’ WR Cooper Kupp Could Miss Significant Time
Things may be even worse than the relatively simple matter of missing the kick-off weekend. It’s being reported that head coach Sean McVay and his staff think their stud receiver may need to be on an IR for several weeks, possibly a minimum of four.
Said McVay about putting the playmaker on injured reserve:
“It’s a possibility. We’ll look into that. We want to just give him a little bit of time. We don’t have to make that decision quite yet.”
Kupp’s absence is a steep challenge for the Rams’ passing attack to overcome. Matthew Stafford is one of the best in the business but there is no question, at least based on their 2021 season together, that he loves throwing to Cooper Kupp.
The WR missed the last eight games of last year due to an ankle injury. He visited a specialist this week for the weakened hamstring, which apparently is not responding to treatment the way it should.
Fellow pass catchers Tutu Atwell and Van Jefferson will need to step up, as will running back Cam Akers, who’s had a tough time being productive over the past couple of seasons.
