After the latest ‘Game of the Century’ there’s a new look to the Power Rankings but the very top of the pile remains unchanged.

1. LSU (9-0, 6-0 SEC, 7-2 ATS)
That was an epic on Saturday night and Brad Wing is going to be a star in the NFL. I am however more worried than ever about the quarterback situation in Baton Rouge. For now, they’ll be happy with this:

Last week: W 9-6 at Alabama.
Next game: Saturday vs. Western Kentucky.

2. Oklahoma State (9-0, 6-0 Big 12, 7-2 ATS)
This was the test we were waiting for. The Cowboys didn’t cover but they came back from a big deficit early to stay unbeaten. Their future however isn’t entirely in their own hands.
Last week: W 52-45 vs. Kansas State.
Next game: Saturday at Texas Tech.

3. Stanford (9-0, 7-0 Pac-12, 9-0 ATS)
Behold the gift that keeps on giving, over, and over, and over again. The Cardinal are perfect against the spread. This Saturday I say they will do it again!
Last week: W 38-13 at Oregon State.
Next game: Saturday vs. Oregon.

4. Boise State (8-0, 3-0 MWC, 4-4 ATS)
There’s no way a one-loss team without a viable quarterback gets above these Broncos. Unfortunately for Boise State, I don’t see any plausible way they play for the BCS title.
Last week: W 48-21 at UNLV.
Next game: Saturday vs. TCU.

5. Alabama (8-1, 5-1 SEC, 6-3 ATS)
Losing a home game to any team, even one as good as LSU, is probably going to hurt Alabama come the end of the season.
Last week: L 9-6 vs. LSU.
Next game: Saturday at Mississippi State.

6. Oregon (8-1, 6-0 Pac-12, 5-4 ATS)
Oregon’s shot at the BCS title is longer than their ranking suggests. Earning a re-match with LSU will be tougher for the Ducks than for the Tide. For now the focus is on beating Stanford and getting to the BCS.
Last week: W 34-17 at Washington.
Next game: Saturday at Stanford.

7. Oklahoma (8-1, 5-1 Big 12, 6-3 ATS)
Oklahoma’s status as a one-loss contender for the title took a hit despite winning at the weekend. Now they must focus on winning the Big 12 and booking a spot in the Fiesta Bowl.
Last week: W 45-21 vs. Texas A&M
Next game: November 19 at Baylor.

8. Houston (9-0, 5-0 Conf. USA, 7-2 ATS)
The Cougars have been good to you College Football betting fans. Look at that ATS record. Let’s repay them by getting Houston to the BCS!
Last week: W 56-13 at UAB.
Next game: Thursday at Tulane.

9. Clemson (8-1, 5-1 ACC, 7-2 ATS)
The week moved the Tigers up a slot. Now they must get the job done in conference play.
Last week: Idle.
Next game: Saturday vs. Wake Forest.

10. Arkansas (8-1, 4-1 SEC, 5-4 ATS)
Answer: A SEC West team capable of causing BCS Armageddon if they beat LSU. Question: What is the Arkansas Razorbacks?
Last week: W 44-28 vs. South Carolina.
Next game: Saturday vs. Tennessee.

11. Penn State (8-1, 5-0 Big Ten, 2-7 ATS)
The Nittany Lions move up a slot thanks to the losses of those above them.
Last week: Idle.
Next game: Saturday vs. Nebraska.

12. Virginia Tech (8-1, 4-1 ACC, 2-7 ATS)
A place in the ACC title game is likely up for grabs against the Yellow Jackets this week.
Last week: Idle.
Next game: Thursday at Georgia Tech.

13. Georgia (7-2, 5-1 SEC, 6-3 ATS)
The Dawgs are on course to finish 7-1 in SEC play and book a place in Atlanta. Just watch out for Auburn this weekend.
Last week: W 63-16 vs. New Mexico State.
Next game: Saturday vs. Auburn.

14. Michigan State (7-2, 4-1 Big Ten, 5-4 ATS)
Fortune favors the Spartans, at least this week. A narrow escape against Minnesota coupled with Nebraska and Michigan losing puts Michigan State back on course for the title game.
Last week: W 31-24 vs. Minnesota.
Next game: Saturday at Iowa.

15. South Carolina (7-2, 5-2 SEC, 4-5 ATS)
That loss to the Hogs will probably cost the Gamecocks a trip to the SEC title game.
Last week: L 44-28 at Arkansas.
Next game: Saturday vs. Florida.

16. Wisconsin (7-2, 3-2 Big Ten, 6-3 ATS)
That win against Purdue could be just the confidence boost the Badgers need. They still don’t control their destiny but a trip to the Rose Bowl is more realistic now.
Last week: W 62-17 vs. Purdue.
Next game: Saturday at Minnesota.

17. Kansas State (7-2, 4-2 Big 12, 7-2 ATS)
I did not expect the Wildcats too look that good in their defeat at Oklahoma State. Don’t count them out this weekend against the Aggies.
Last week: L 52-45 at Oklahoma State.
Next game: Saturday vs. Texas A&M.

18. Nebraska (7-2, 3-2 Big Ten, 4-5 ATS)
After all they did to get back in contention in the Big Ten, Nebraska go and blow it at home against Northwestern.
Last week: L 28-25 vs. Northwestern.
Next game: Saturday at Penn State.

19. USC (7-2, 5-2 Pac-12, 5-4 ATS)
The Trojans now look poised to decide the winner of the Pac-12 South when they face UCLA at the end of the regular season.
Last week: W 42-17 at Colorado.
Next game: Saturday vs. Washington.

20. Southern Mississippi (8-1, 4-1 Conf. USA, 7-2 ATS)
After cruising past the Pirates, Southern Miss must now take care of business against UCF at home.
Last week: W 48-28 at East Carolina.
Next game: Saturday vs. UCF.

21. TCU (7-2, 4-0 MWC, 4-5 ATS)
That wasn’t a great display against Wyoming but it was enough to remain unbeaten in conference play.
Last week: W 31-20 at Wyoming.
Next game: Saturday at Boise State.

22. Cincinnati (7-1, 3-0 Big East, 5-3 ATS)
The Bearcats are on course for a trip to the BCS but beware they have a long way to go yet.
Last week: W 26-23 at Pittsburgh.
Next game: Saturday vs. West Virginia.

23. Arkansas State (7-2, 5-0 Sun Belt, 8-1 ATS)
Just another day at the office for the Red Wolves where they went out, beat their opponents, and covered. This weekend they host Louisiana Lafayette. I expect them to cover again.
Last week: W 39-21 at Florida Atlantic.
Next game: Saturday vs. Louisiana Lafayette.

24. Michigan (7-2, 3-2 Big Ten, 6-3 ATS)
That defeat against Iowa all but ended the Wolverines’ hopes of playing for the conference championship. They need a road win on Saturday to stay in these rankings.
Last week: L 24-16 at Iowa.
Next game: Saturday at Illinois.

25. Notre Dame (6-3, 4-5 ATS)
The Fighting Irish re-enter the rankings. Now all they need to do to stay in for back-to-back weeks is to beat Maryland at home. I can sense your doubt, I feel it too.
Last week: W 24-17 at Wake Forest.
Next game: Saturday vs. Maryland.

Last five out: Auburn, Iowa, Ohio State, Texas, Virginia.
